Bound typed transcription, by an unidentified transcriber, of minutes taken by Joseph Fish and Jesse N. Smith at meetings of the School of the Prophets held by Mormon Church members at the Mormon Meeting House in Parowan, Utah, from the institution of the School on 1868 Nov 1, to 1872 Sep 14. The minutes from 1868 Nov 1 include the rules of conduct to follow in order to become and remain a member. Subsequent minutes of the weekly meetings include discussions among members regarding Mormon Church doctrine, conduct of Church members, local business issues, interactions with non-Mormon whites and American Indians, and current events. Officers of the School were: William H. Dame, President; Silas S. Smith, Vice-president; Calvin C. Pendleton, Treasurer; and Joseph Fish, Secretary. School attendees mentioned in the minutes include W. C. McGregor, William Holyoak, J. R. Parramore, and Daniel Matheson. Lists of members of the School from 1870 Jun to 1872 Sep follow the minutes.
